Back in November of ’09, the J-Summit crew held their first event at Webster Hall and it was such a unique event to attend. They returned this May with another onslaught of great talent, although at a smaller scale this time around. Nevertheless there was still much to see and enjoy and overall the show seemed more focused. The show quickly became packed with a good energetic crowd forming, at certain points of the night the well known moshing crew did there thing with the amped charged atmosphere.
Performing that night was Typherus, who sound more refined with each show they put on minus minor technical difficulties. Then there was Lilac who put on another slick performance, followed by Stella’s Attic whom I was unfamiliar with but found to be pretty decent, don’t think I was ready for a classic rock sound that night. We were then highly entertained by Hsu-nami, which really rocked the house and impressed a swelft of newcomers. Finally up was Noirceur whom treated everyone to a unique surprise cover of Lady Gaga’s Bad Romance which got everyone dancing and singing along.
